I was invited to a pre-work coffee with some team members which was really sweet. When we got there, both girls ordered trendy, yummy donuts with their coffees! UNFAIR! That is really how I feel I live every day, that is just isn't fair. I hate this attitude but I want fattening, sugary carbs.
The good news is that I did not eat a donut. (Notice the coffee cup without the donut beside it???)
I have actually weened myself off of McDonalds, donuts and muffins. Why these particular foods? Because they are all loaded with sugar, it is pretend food, and once you have one, you will have another and another and another. Cheesecake is also on this list but you aren't presented with a cheesecake every day so that one isn't as difficult.
It would be good if I tried to go a week without sugar again, but that would be excruciating.

the pros and cons of being kindof, sortof on a diet
I got up and went to the Tan. Ran sprints up the hill. Did my weight workout. GOOD
Went to breakfast after than and ordered too much food. BAD
Walked around to run some errands. GOOD
Went to a Grand Final party and ate and ate and ate. BAD
Came home to my roommates wanting to go to TGIF for cheeseburgers and I said NO. AWESOME!
Am going out tonight???? GOOD or BAD. Not sure???

Why bother going if you don't get a treat?
Tonight I was tortured by Tim. When we went to the movies he would not let me purchase a choc top because I had not worked out today. Really? The best thing about going to a movie in Australia is a vanilla choc top. Yum.
I got a bottle of sparkling water instead.

a little help with my body image
I am trying to spend some time concentrating on all of the good things with my body. This is a very, very, very, very difficult thing to do. We are all hardest on ourselves. I can not look at myself and just see something that I like. But...I am trying.
So, tonight while I was in my short tennis skirt I looked down and thought..."I don't have cankles."

Friends are good
Thanks to Penny and Tim for showing up to run the hill at the Tan with me. The before picture looks pretty smiley but the after picture is looking a little tired.
My workout schedule is a little all over the place at the moment. I need to get back on a schedule and get organised. The Saturday sprints is great but spring carnival is going to mess this up a little bit. Treading on Thursdays. More walking. But lets face it, that is not enough. I need to be getting my heart rate up every day and I have been slacking. I need to get my weights schedule going again. Tomorrow is walking so I will also do the weights. DONE!

my dresses are getting tighter!!!!
I am still in a pout and haven't exercised all week. I have noticed my clothes starting to get snug and guess what is just around the corner?!?!?!?!
Saturday marks the start of Spring Carnival for me. Out come the frocks and hats. The hats are ready but am I going to fit into any of my dresses? Not if I keep this up!

carb free-ish
I am not going carb free, but I am going carb free-ish. If I can stand it...
My friend asked me to try this for one month and it can't hurt. I am taking out pasta, bread and rice which still leaves plenty of carb options in a day. It just takes out the high processed, low fibre junk. We will see how my body handles it.
I'm craving a gorgeous piece of multi grain as I type this!!!!!

Sunday Weigh In
WOW! The pity party definitely took its toll. I gained almost 4 pounds this week! I weighed in at 235.2. On top of the food, I also think my fitbit messed with me a bit. I would see good results and I think I was not paying attention to my food as much because I was thinking - "I am so mobile. I am so good."

Pity Party
I have been very down this week.
I weighed in high.
I couldn't do any exercise due to my ridiculous attempt at the Tan.
I felt super gross.
And finally, after three years thought....maybe it is just time to stop.
But my whinging is done.
I am back to it.
I woke up and went to zumba.
Then I met Penny at the Tan to run sprints.
The pity party is done but I just hope I can lose some weight. I don't want to get on the scale tomorrow.

very, very sick feeling
Since I had stopped running I was missing the beautiful Tan. I got an idea a few weeks ago that I would go back once a week and do sprints up the hill. So, this is what I talked Penny into on a cloudy Saturday morning.
Sprint to the top of the hill
Walk down
10 squats
10 pushups
10 walking lunges
20 seconds plank
Three times
That took us about 15-20 minutes. Now we had another 15 minutes to just do sprints. I had never done more than three times up the hill. I was BARELY able to make it another 3 times and my body was well and truly protesting. I honestly didn't think I would get down without getting sick but I did.
And Penny is willing to try it again on another day.

I get how it works now
I didn't get the fitbit because I didn't really think it would motivate me but it does. As I was walking around the CBD today, I was going to hop on a tram to get me 5 blocks very quickly. I looked down and say my fitbit and thought...no, I'll just walk it. It wil be very interesting to see if this type of motivation keeps working.
I also did some weight circuit today.
I also went to tennis lessons.
I just had a pretty, darn good day today.
Kept it going!

It was lost and now is found!
My brother in law found my fitbit in his car! YEA! Just received it yesterday in the mail (thanks Scab) and this morning I am happy to report that during my workout:

789 calories burned
The stats aren't completely on because they start while you are sleeping. What am I doing in my sleep that I am burning so many calories? Crazy!
