Super great to be back in the 250s again. Feeling happy and going in the right direction. Of course, Happy Scale says my 1.2 pound weight loss is 0, which I can live with.

I have a new addiction
While I have been drinking coffee since high school, I have never like coffee flavored things.
coffee ice cream
coffee yogurt
coffee liquer
No.
And I never liked iced coffee.
Until now.
And I have been on the short side of caffeine for a long time.
I am having between 2-3 Starbucks tall iced lattes every day.
coffee - 0 calories
milk - 100 calories
caffeine - alot
(I give the name Tim as I hate giving my name. Why do they need it?)
I should not be drinking my calories at all. But they are such a good treat.
Hopefully I wont be craving them when the cooler weather comes.
Maybe I need to just only have 1 after 3:30. That is the new goal???

My goal was 3kms
So yeah, I ran 3.2!!!! :)
It was a GORGEOUS day - how many more summer days are left in Melbourne? I knew that my schedule was 2.6 would be great. But if I'm 2.6...3km is only one more song. So, I Just did it. I should be on track for the 5km if I can keep this up.

JJ Monday Motivation
Yesterday was JJ Watt's birthday. He has been very inspirational to me in his work outs. I saw a show on ESPN a few years ago on him and I just always think of him when doing my workouts. He is very goal oriented and backs himself. He has had the same trainer since high school and is committed. So, I am committing to JJ. The next few Mondays will be JJ Monday Motivation. ;)

Morning Ritual
Three weeks after starting my morning ritual of a glass of water when waking up and 1 pushup every morning, how am I doing? GREAT!
The glass of water goes big or small depending on my mood.
The pushups have gotten harder and increased to 6 per day.
Putting these reminders on my bathroom mirror has been a really great reminder for when my brain isn't quite working at 100%! :) My goal is just to get through March with no days skipped. April I may start some new goals to up what I am already doing.

Nike Running Club
As I start to run again, I want to use a phone app to track my runs.
Penny uses Nike Running Club.
Tim uses Strava.
So, I used both and NRC is so much better than Strava - by a lot!
It is using the same map so I dont understand how the data can be so different.
The great news is that my goal today was 2.0kms and I did 2.65 AND ran a 11.53km. THAT IS AWESOME. That is just about the speed I was at when I was running previously. My goal in the back of my mind is a 9 minute km which would give me a 3 hour half marathon.
A shorter goal is to increase my run time over my walk time and Cake by the Ocean is a 4.22 minute song! Yea me!
It was also just a really beautiful day. Great day to be out for a run.

Formula 1 - Melbourne
Every year I enjoy the excitement an international event brings to Melbourne, similar to the tennis. But unlike the tennis, I can watch the F1 from my living room! As usual, Sugar and I did our run on the race track while it was still open. The roads close about a month beforehand but they let bikers and runners use the lake up until a few days before the race. And the weather has been stunning for running, 20-23*.
On race day - there is not a cloud in the sky and it inspires me what good shape the drivers are in.

Sunday Weigh In
Sunday weigh in is 260.6.
After 10 weeks with Heather I am still doing the up and down.
Now, she thinks this is a down so I will take it!
I'm doing a pretty good job of putting EVERYTHING into the food diary. So, when you take your client to lunch in Sydney....
Here is the damage:
1 bottle of french champagne (share)
2 glass of sticky
fish starter (high protein, very low calories)
pasta (starter size)
cheese plate (share)
good news - no sugar, small portions
But I do put it all in the diary which when you are putting it in feels like a confession!

Food glorious food!
I had a great food weekend. It started with my trip to Sydney. I went to the Qantas club and got my new club meal - 2 hard boiled eggs, a cup of fruit and a scoop of bircher muesli. I really feel confident going there thanks to Heather's plan and guidance. I didn't even look at the other options because I knew what I was going to get.
As always, the Golden Door was absolutely delicious with no salt, no sugar, and no red meat.
All of the dinners were delicious with baskets of fruit everywhere. It was a really nice long weekend and I am considering going there for Easter as well. I could do the whole week.
I need to recreate this chicken salad. It was DELICIOUS!!!!

Long weekend - time to energise!
Long weekend so I am going up to Golden Door for three days. Three days of healthy eating and lots of exercise. Yea!
It all happened really quick. I have a business trip on Friday to Sydney. I realised late that that was the long weekend. I got to thinking...what do I want to do for three days?
BE GOOD TO MYSELF!
EAT WELL!
GET A ZILLION SPA TREATMENTS!!!!!
So that is what I am doing. :)

Slow run
My running is average. I need to step it up for the 5km.
On top of the lack of motivation, I also have a sore hamstring which hurts like heck after I run.
But if having a running shirt drawer that looks like this isn't motivation enough...I don't know what is!
It was a VERY difficult 1.7km so I need to amp it up!

Notes from Heather
My session this past week with Heather was really good. She gave me some great ideas for trouble areas.
1 - traveling
I was actually doing the call from the Qantas lounge on my way to Sydney. It is so difficult to eat well in the lounge as there are so many naughties! She said to bring boiled eggs and a piece of fruit. I'll come back to this.
2 - Flower Drum
I was having a business dinner and I knew I wanted lychee martinis.
So, she helped me count my calories for the night and budget them in. She actually had me pre-post my entire dinner and I knew what it was going to be so that was do-able.
I felt more in control.
3 - champagne or dessert
I am going to try to keep to this as a way forward
After the call I went up to the Qantas bar and guess what they had?
