The plan is in place
The half marathon is 21 km. So, I need to be able to run 11 km if I do the half as run one, walk one.
I was able to run for one km straight this weekend.
I also did run one song, walk one song around the tan.
So my plan is based on running to songs. :)
June - 2 -3 times/week. Run 1 song, walk 1 song.
July - 2-3 times/week. Run 1.5 songs, walk 1.5 song.
Aug - 2-3 times/week. Run 2 songs, walk 2 songs.
Sept - 2-3 times/week. Run 3 songs, walk 3 songs. (This should be close to km.)
Oct - 2-3 times/week. Run 4 songs, walk 3 songs.
My next goal is to get my Fitbit working so that I can do a bit of tracking.

Monday Motivation
I had a great weekend of activity. One of those things was my 30 minute triathalon. I did 10 minutes biking, 10 minutes running and 10 minutes swimming. Yes, I did 10 minutes straight running with no stopping. Actually, I went a little over so that I could get a full km in. Now, I just need to do 10 more!

Sunday Weigh In

I had a GREAT workout this morning and it really lifted my mood for the day. It is noon on Saturday and I have already had so many wins. YEA! I think setting my goals, writing them down and posting them here on the blog really helps keeps things locked in.
WINS TODAY
1 - I missed my exercise time this morning but instead of skipping it, I just rescheduled. YEA me!
2 - During breakfast, Lisa ordered a pastry and I REALLY wanted a french pain au chocolate. But I just had the waitress take my plate away. Done. Considering I was sitting next to the bakery items...very difficult but I did it.
3 - I made it around the Tan with a walk one sone, run one song with absolutely no problems. It was actually an easy go!!!! The only little mini cheat I had was I should have started running half way up the hill and just kept walking. I was still very happy.
4 - kept my training appointment with Anita

A little obsessed
This week on This American Life the topic was "I am fat."
If you don't know This American Life it is a radio show on NPR which is also available on their website and as a podcast. This weeks episode was a repeat from last year and it was both amazing to listen to and sad. It really hit many buttons with me. There were five different stories about being over weight and it resonated so soundly with me that I listened twice in one day!

I have put together a new training calendar for June based on the little yellow dress calendar. It goes a LOT slower than the original calendar. But strength should greatly increase if I can keep it up. New week - new goals!
