Sunday Weigh In
Well...it is good news and I am happy. I lost 1.8 pounds from last week. But...I am still losing the weight I put on. I want to be back in the 230s. Today's goal is to plan, plan, plan and DO!
Plan my exercise.
Plan my diet.
Eat healthy.
Workout.
That is all I have to do the whole day.

positive vs negative
I wanted to get up this morning and go to a zumba class. But I got up late, dragged my feet, listened to the Formula 1 cars going around the track and before I knew it...I was not going to make the class. I was really down on myself. I wanted a good workout day.
Instead, I took the dog for a walk. (kept moving)
Came home and made my smoothie. (instead of going out for brekkie)
Went for a 5km walk. (good training)
Did a very short strength course at the gym (yea)
I'm really pleased with my walk. I listened to This American Life podcast which had me crying in the park. I find when I listen to podcasts I can relax into the walk. I absolutely got my heart rate up. It is a stunning Saturday, partly sunny, about 75* and completely relaxing. I'm really glad I got out of the house for my workout.
The park had a million games of cricket going on. And even a game of quidditch which took me a few minutes to recognize.
But I am still mad at myself for not going to zumba?
Maybe I'll burn nervous calories watching the Badgers this afternoon!

Sunday Weigh In
Oh disappointment. After three straight weeks of weight loss, I had a gain. So, I was disappointed but on the other hand, I was feeling strong after three straight days of strength training. And, I had just gone to the Tan. I feel like I am doing the right things so I won't let one day ruin my month!!!!
Having said that, it was a bummer to weigh every day and be more than when I started on 22 January! It doesn't matter - just get on with it.

Then...the strangest thing happened. I got over the scale. I really did. Our friends invited us over for a pool party in the 33* heat. I went and I had no qualms about putting on my swimsuit. I really think I thought that I am strong and doing my best. I just went for it and never thought about if I looked bad or good or what was showing. And, I had a great time! AT A POOL PARTY!!!!!!!!!! The first time in 48 years!!!!!!!

I need to live somewhere where it is like this year round
I just love warm weather and this has been the nicest summer since I have lived in Australia. It has just been beautiful. So not a lot of excuses for not being healthy and good to my body. The weather has been wonderful for working out. Every night I can come home and throw some protein and veg on the grill.
Coming into autumn and it is 89* today and not a cloud in the sky.
I have breakfast outdoors at a cafe and then Sugar and I went for a walk around the Tan. I am SO SORE from three days of strength training with my trainer, so I did walk counter clockwise today.
Counter clockwise is the EASY walk because you are walking DOWN Andersen hill instead of UP it. And let me tell you, it was so much easier going down. It looks just like a normal walk going down!
Maybe I need to move to Brisbane for winter?
Or Miami?

I laughed when I read this on Twitter this morning
As I was doing my morning tweets I read "Women really like fruit in their water." This cracked me up as I have recently been trying new flavors!
I am really trying to drink more water in my day. I don't know how I will measure it but right now I'm just glad I am drinking it!

Formula One or why Sugar is not a good dog for serious exercise
I do love walking in Albert Park while they are getting ready for the Formula One. It takes weeks and it is so exciting. They put up the track and the pedestrian bridges and all of the branding goes everywhere. It makes me want to run fast. Or this year...walk fast.
But that doesn't happen when your puppy is a sniffer and has to stop every few feet. How do people get those dogs that run next to them? This is definitely not how Sugar rolls. Walk a few feet. Sniff.
Since being at the track does make me want to be fast, I did try to run for about 1km. My knees are sore but not painful. I am happy with that. It was good to get out. I think I will start my half training in June.

It is done!
I have registered for the Melbourne Half Marathon taking place during the marathon. Very exciting!
I now have 7 months to get up to 13.1 miles! (21km) I get crabby doing 1 km at the moment. I am planning on WALKING the whole thing as I don't know about my knees. There is a slight chance I may try and do walk one/run one. But why? Not if I am going to screw up my knee.
So you know what this means!!!!! TIFFANY DELIVERED BY A FIREMAN!!!!! Although it is not starting out well. Here is today's convo with Tim:
Everyone be on the lookout for a Fireman who will meet me at the end of the race! I need to start organising! And training! Sugar and I are about to go on a big walk. 1 km. :)

Sunday Weigh In
CELEBRATE!!!!!!
It was EXACTLY ONE YEAR ago that I dipped back into the 230s but immediately a week later went back up to the 240s. It has been since July 2015 since I have well and truly LIVED in the 230s. Today I weighed in at 239.4. I really want to keep it off!!!!!! Invite me to work out this week!! :)

How is this possible?
Taking the puppy for a walk this afternoon and I saw some McDonalds fries that had been spilt on the ground. My mouth started watering. After almost six years I am STILL craving the goodness of pretend-bad-for-you-fake-McD food. AND IT WAS ON THE GROUND!
Now, that is an addiction.
But, I am more proud of the fact that I have not had the food so I am confident I could never have it again.

Clothes tell you your real story
I bought this new jean shirt while I was in Utah in January. When I got it home, it was too tight and I couldn't get it on. Today I was taking the puppy for a walk and thought I'd like a little something on my shoulders and I saw the jean shirt.
You can't tell from this weird angle, but the jean shirt fit perfectly. Maybe a little tight in the arms but I am in it.
The scale goes up and down due to water, hormones, salt, illness...so many things. But clothes tell you the truth.
Now to fit into my purple race dress!!!! :)

Yea! I'm sick and completely dehydrated :)
The numbers on the scale look great at the moment. I either ate some bad food or have something viral as I can't eat at the moment and I am not drinking. I've lost over 3 pounds in a day! I know it will all come back when my body rehydrates but I loved seeing the numbers on the scale this morning. :)
