I have been telling everyone that Macy's and a few other chains will now ship free to Australia so a few of my friends have been buying and having things sent over. Well a friend of mine bought a few dresses that ended up being a bit short for her. Knowing that I have been losing weight, she gave them to me a year ago and today I FINALLY got to wear one!

The details
My first 10k and I felt great! I got up and just knew I was going to complete it. Even when I slowed down to the slowest crawl and I was smiling and feeling good.
Obviously, the boys all took off right out of the gate. The first 2 km and the last 2 km were hilly. The rest was flat but sometimes running on grass which I didn't like at all. It was hot so I started drinking a lot at the water stations but because I am not use to that, my stomach ached a bit. So I stopped drinking which was fine.
Thanks to everyone who sent me songs - I thought of you all as it took me 24 songs to complete the race! :) My goal was 90 minutes and I crossed at 1:30:10!

New short term goals

1 - Must lose 7 pounds BEFORE I get to Vegas in April. I want to wear my roulette chip charm on my bracelet.

Disappointment!
Got up to run the tan twice this morning and only made it half way around! That is about 2km. How am I going to run 10K next week?

Mark it off the list
One of the goals for 2013 was to start playing tennis again and join a comp. So last week I joined a tennis group and I started tonight. Not only was it a good workout, it was social and fun. And I wasn't the worst player!

I think my scale is stuck but...
My measurements for January were great! This does include the two weeks at fat camp but I still did the work. I always measure:

right upper arm
hips
right upper leg
calf
My total was 7"! I don't think it will be like this every month. I would expect 1-3". But today I will takek the 7".

Who is supporting you?
I had a PERFECT day today and it was with the support of my friends.
- Got up at 5:30 to run the Tan and then met the guys from work for sprints up the Swan St hill
- Busy day at work but my super healthy lunch of salmon and soba noodles was made and packed by my roommate
- Went for drinks after work and the guys ordered me a big bottle of sparkling water while they drank their beers

Cravings!
I craved McDonalds today which doesn't happen too often anymore. As I walked by to get my healthy sandwich at the deli, the line for McD's was out the door. It smelled like cheeseburgers. Yum.

New PB!!!
This is what 7.6kms looks like - HOT!!!!
Today I met up with Bryan and Merilyn and the Melbourne running club to run the Tan which means you run the Tan TWICE and I did it. I still can not believe it. That is 4.7 miles [7.6km]! So, I am feeling confident about the 10k. I am going to sign up because if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.

Follow My Heart Feb - WOW! When you track EVERY SINGLE CALORIE you really start to see where all the little ones add up. Geesh! But at the end of the day, I had about 800 calories left and was going out to dinner. So, I went online and decided BEFORE I arrived what I was having. Instead of sushi and dumplings, I ended up with yummy teriyaki salmon and miso soup.
