Cheese controversy!

It was noted from my blog post yesterday that there is no way that cheese can be considered a super food, but it is...in moderation, of course.

"Fresh goat cheese and feta contain a fatty acid that helps you feel full and burn more fat. Look for cheeses labeled "grass-fed," as those will have the highest content of this healthy fat.

Cheddar also contains a large amount of other essential nutrients such as phosphorous for strong teeth and bones, zinc for healthy skin, a strong immune system and fertility, riboflavin and vitamin B12 for energy and vitamin A for healthy skin and eyes. A cube of cheddar after a meal will neutralise the acids in your mouth and increase saliva production to aid food clearance, both of which help prevent tooth decay.
But its high fat content means eat in moderation."

Lets start at the very beginning...a very good place to start...

After yesterday's very small cardio session, I decided that I need to start the Couch To 5k Program from the beginning. And, since I have been trying to pick up my pace for forever, I decided that I would start the program at an 8km/hour pace instead of the 7km/hour pace I started at last time.

And, I had a GREAT session!!!

I was able to do the whole run at 8km/hour or faster. (the last minute was at 10km/hour)
The running felt good. I felt like a runner!

After my workout, I went to journal my run on the c25k program and I was so surprised! When I looked back at my journal from when I did the program the first time -
 - my goal weight that I entered into the system is MORE than I am now! :)
 - my running mood was crabby and today's running mood was happy!
 - I ran a lot faster!
Super runner on the treadmill!  Day 1 of c25k

Fake it 'til you make it

I had committed to go for a run today and just did not feel like going. After not running for almost two months, I am simply not energized. So, I did two things:
1 - put on my running clothes because then I feel like a runner!
2 - grabbed a running partner - Sugar!

In my running clothes with Sugar.

I did go for a run with Sugar and got a huge surprise. I could not run for 5 minutes! I can't believe how out of condition I am. This has inspired me to get right back in it.
