Sunday Weigh In

So this is all so super weird.  In normal days I would say - yea! I am down 1.2 pounds and that is perfect.
But firstly, I am suppose to be maintaining weight.  So I'm not suppose to be down.
And then according to Happy Scale, my weight loss is only .4 because of the moving average.
I am still over the moon with the loss as I have been eating until I am full and doing a good job of my water.

Achy breaky or why you don't talk to a running partner just in case they misunderstand

One of my big goals today was to get all the way around the Tan.  I have been going to the Tan to walk but I would go 10 or 15 minutes and then turn around so it was an easier and quicker walk than going all the way around.

That was my goal - walk the 4km.
Penny came with me.  It was a stunning day and I was feeling great. So, I told her I was going to run FROM the top of the hill to the end.  What she heard was that I was going to RUN THE HILL!!!!!  When we got to the hill, I didn't want to be the weak one, so we did it.  She made it to the top.  I had two stops. It was incredible to me that just a little while ago I could run it TWICE!

So I was achy but I did it.

AFTER the hill -

Thursday Thoughts

I am not doing Thursday Thoughts anymore - its too hard!
You try and name 10 seriously good things you think about your BODY!  The task it too great.

I am trying to think of some other positive post to have in its place, but...hmmmmmm.

I need to start gettting on to the running so maybe Thursdays could be my running updates.
Update-
So, yeah.  I haven't run since late November.
Have barely walked.

Goal - start running again this weekend.
Get a new goal sheet.
I DID sign up for May the 4th Be With You Neon Run 5K.  So, about 14 weeks to get to a 5k.  Doable.

Second call with Heather

I am really excited by the coaching with Heather.
I have my Voxer set up.
I am weighing in every morning and recording it on Happy Scale.
I am logging all my food into My Fitness Pal.

Today we discussed trying to find out EXACTLY what is my maintenance weight.  I thought it was 1800 calories but the calculator says 2160.  That seems like an enormous number!!!!!  Here is the recommended calculator if you're interested - http://www.thedietfix.com/calculator.aspx

I will track this for two weeks and then we will see how I go.
It is so weird to be eating to stay the same instead of eating to lose weight!!!!!

Meanwhile I have discovered the Fabulous App and possibly, maybe...I finally have found an app that will help me with my habits.  After 4 days I just LOVE it.  It does cost a few dollars every month but if I drink my water and start sleeping better, it will be worth it!!!

Monday Motivation

This saying has a lot of meaning to me.  I watched a speaker about 15 years ago and he was very moving.  I then read his book and one of his main mantras was - choose to be happy.  I told that to my boss at the time and it has become one of his mantras.  So, this is not a meme off the internet.  I was at TJ Maxx while on holiday and they had this little desk thing with the saying so I had to take a picture.  Here it is.  Choose to be happy!

Sunday Weigh In

I'm back!

And I am so excited about the new year.  Always a time to reevaluate and a great resetting point.  I am SO THRILLED for my first weigh in.  I was not GREAT with my diet and I was non existent with my exercise but I attained my goal of staying the same.   I did a good job of listening to my body so I didn't go as crazy as I had in the past.  Technically, I am down but I guessing I am completely dehydrated so lets assume as soon as I drink some water, I will be up at least two pounds.  But staying the same is AWESOME.
