Melbourne Half Marathon - MARK IT ON THE CALENDAR!!!!!!!

So, the Melbourne Marathon was last weekend and I was talking to David and he said if I did the half next year, he would do the fireman/Tiffany thing.  So....I AM DOING IT!!!  WHO IS WITH ME?!?!?!?!?

I can barely walk.
I weigh 246.
I have done NO cardio for months.
But I am making the commitment NOW.

So, here is what I am thinking....nice and slow.
This week I will do 3 days of walking 20 - 30 minutes.
Next week I will do 3 days of walking 30-40 minutes.
The following week I will start the couch to 5k.
I am giving myself 4 months to get to 5k.  (to March)
I will do 5k to 10k (to July)
I will start the half marathon distances after my bday.

Now, I know from having done the c25k, that I don't need 4 months.  But I want to go slow.  My knees are absolutely in so much pain - particularly my left.  I will tell my surgeon next week but he won't be happy.  Zero care factor.  I need to get some weight off.

Just like the Nike Half Marathon in San Francisco, David has promised to have a fireman, in a tuxedo with a Tiffany present at the finish line!!!!!  DONE!!!!!






Lisa Jane has said she will get on this as well.
Anyone else?

Lastly, I checked the times of the runners and I am positive I will be in the bottom 10 of all runners, but I will finish!

Sunday Weigh In

I am still in this revolving 245-246-247 cycle.  Today was 236.8 which was slightly down but really need to get out of this rut.

I am coming out of spring carnival and fewer client meetings so fingers crossed I can stay on target!

292 days of tracking

I am really proud that I have tracked 292 days in a row on My Fitness Pal.  But....I need to re-evaluate how I am using it.  Today's tracking:

Breakfast - Toast with avocado
Lunch - Steak, empanadas, salad
Dinner - 2 vodka martinis, cheese fries, mini burger

This is weird

I think I need to give up the rabbit food.  I am so hungry when I come home from work I end up eating way too much! I was sick last night from all the food I ate.

But...the raw food seems to be working.  Even if I overeat at night which I don't like at all!

This has been what I have basically eaten in the last few days:

 - my fat camp PB2 smoothie for breakfast (delicious)
 - salad for lunch
 - huge cup of nuts when I come home from work because I'm starving (500)
 - huge dinner with lots of carb because I'm starving (1000)??
 - sugar fix because I'm starving (500?)

I'm down 3 pounds since Sunday.
?????????

I hate the overeating at night.
Today I have a race day so I won't be on this program.

no go on the lbd

With one week left, I am not going to fit into my little black dress for the Telstra Womens Business Awards. This is so disappointing.  So, now, I have gone to my little gold dress but this is still tight.  I need a really, really good week!  AND I HAVE RACES ON WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY!!!!!

Eating rabbit food

Having watched the movie, I am firm in trying to one raw meal a day.  IF my brekkie is my smoothie plus one raw meal, I think this could be good for me.  Although, I'm not eating much for some meals.

Today was lettuce leaves with avocado and some fruit.
But it filled me up.

And, today I got up at 5:30AM to watch the Badger game.  Would I get up at 5:30 to work out? NO!
