So, the Melbourne Marathon was last weekend and I was talking to David and he said if I did the half next year, he would do the fireman/Tiffany thing. So....I AM DOING IT!!! WHO IS WITH ME?!?!?!?!?
I can barely walk.
I weigh 246.
I have done NO cardio for months.
But I am making the commitment NOW.
So, here is what I am thinking....nice and slow.
This week I will do 3 days of walking 20 - 30 minutes.
Next week I will do 3 days of walking 30-40 minutes.
The following week I will start the couch to 5k.
I am giving myself 4 months to get to 5k. (to March)
I will do 5k to 10k (to July)
I will start the half marathon distances after my bday.
Now, I know from having done the c25k, that I don't need 4 months. But I want to go slow. My knees are absolutely in so much pain - particularly my left. I will tell my surgeon next week but he won't be happy. Zero care factor. I need to get some weight off.
Just like the Nike Half Marathon in San Francisco, David has promised to have a fireman, in a tuxedo with a Tiffany present at the finish line!!!!! DONE!!!!!
Lisa Jane has said she will get on this as well.
Anyone else?
Lastly, I checked the times of the runners and I am positive I will be in the bottom 10 of all runners, but I will finish!
