It is a cold, damp, rainy day in Melbourne today and I can honestly say that if I wasn't so excited to test out my new Apple Watch... I would have definitely skipped my run today. But, I did have my new watch so I went for my first run in two weeks after being down with the flu.
My original plan was to wear both my Polar and my Apple to see what the calorie burn was on both, but since my Polar strap broke, I couldn't find it. So, I was going to try and run both RunKeeper and Apple at the same time to see what happened, but the RunKeeper on my watch wouldnt work without my iphone being in my pocket. FORGET THAT! The whole idea is to not have to run without the big iphone.
Size - Score big for Apple over RunKeeper. Having just the watch instead of carrying the iphone around is a big plus.
Display - Score big for Apple of Polar. The beautiful display keeps track of your heart rate, distance, time AND when I started walking after my run, gave a split time of run vs walk.
My next goal is compare data with the three programs but so far, this is an expensive but awesome workout tool.
