It was my tendons (I have tendonitis in my ankles) that gave out yesterday and I did not make it through the whole first day. And now, of course, I have to wait until they are healed. Usually it only takes me a day or so. I was on the internet trying to figure out ways to prevent it and it says that hiking and uneven surfaces will cause the tendonitis to come back. So, I will replace the morning hike with gym and pool work.
So... this sucks.
I read an article recently that said swimming can torch up to 600 calories an hour. Obviously that's a generalised amount, but hey - even half that is ok if you ask me! If it's true, that would be half of your day's calories!!! :-)
