Runners World Magazine
I bought a bunch of health/fitness magazines for my flight back to AUS and I saved them to read on the plane. So imagine my sadness when reading the May issue of Runners World and almost every article was on how the person qualified for the Boston Marathon. I just kept thinking, "I hope these people are ok."

Big hurdle
Today I ran (and I use that word liberally - it was the shuffliest of shuffles) for 10 minutes with no pain in my calf. Yea!

Tragic turn of events
As a committed and serious member of the running/shuffling community, please think positive thoughts for those hospitalized in Boston.

first day - can't walk or raise my arms
My first morning at Anna Marie's gym and I started with a class called Piloxing (pilates, boxing, cardio), next was zumba and then I tried spinning again. I tried so hard to have an open mind about spinning but my bum was hurting before the class even started! How do you spinners do it? I just don't get it. Then I had an hour with Anna Marie doing weights for my shoulders and arms. Boy, am I sore. But I know I need a better weight routine so I was happy to do it and she is a great instructor.

Vegas was Vegas
I may not have been on track for mom's birthday (triple chocolate!) but the important thing is that I am in Utah for four days to burn it all off.
