Quality of calorie

We had a really great session yesterday on quality of calorie and what type of junk we put into out bodies.  The nutritionist really encouraged us to put the highest nutrition into our bodies and reminded us that not all 500 calorie meals are the same.  Our body will not have the same effects with each nutrient. 

His first example was some red/colorful heirloom carrots they were growing.  So much more nutritious than orange carrots.



 He went through a lot of organic and best food brands.

But I think his strongest message was there is a good, better, best option with everything we eat.  Any carrot is good.  Eat it - that is awesome.  But a better choice would be organic. The best choice would be organic red or multi colored.  Just try and eat as nutritionally healthy as possible.  Not only will you lose weight but not be putting chemicals into your body.
