A little light and a little habit

I have been looking for a way to get my mojo back and I read a great book today that I LOVED. I think I bought it last year and left it on my bookshelf. It is called, "Mini Habits: Smaller Habits, Bigger Results."

The author suggests that intention must have action or it becomes harmful (I agree) and people over-estimate their self-control (I agree).

He suggests that the best way to form new, positive habits is to start with mini habits that are silly small. He also recommends that you do no more than four at a time otherwise you are working on too many things. I came up with 18 new mini habits I want to incorporate into my day but I picked the four I want to start immediately while I am on my holiday. I will do these for the next 10 days to get back into a groove.

 - 1 push up per day
 - 1 sit up per day
 - weigh in each day
 - leave 1 bite of food on my plate each meal

The weigh in should be able to be replaced with a new mini goal once I am back home. I immediately made a chart for me to use as a tracker and a visualisation and completed my first day.

The more I thought about it, I think spending time on my smaller, daily activities was a key to my success when I was losing weight. I am really excited to try this and to get into a positive mindset.
