Once again, the classes here have been great. Here are a few strategies that I thought I would share when engaging in emotional eating:
Use the 5Ds of addiction -
Delay
Deep breath
Do something different
Drink water
Discuss
What are the warning signs? Use HALT - are you
Hungry
Angry
Lonely
Tired
When driving, why do we stop at a red light? If we don't, it will be bad.
Engage in red light behavior with food!
Write your successes down!
