I've been reading up on zero calorie foods because lately, I just haven't been able to get full. I need more bulk without all the calories. While the research seems to indicate that there really isn't any zero calorie foods, the following list was pretty standard among foods that were good for you and really low in calories:
Apples
Apricots
Asparagus
Beetroot (beets)
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Carrots
Celery
Citrus fruit
Coffee
Cucumbers
Green Tea
Kelp
Leafy greens
Mushrooms
Onion
Red capsicum (red peppers)
Red chilis
Strawberries/Berries
Summer squash
Turnips
Tomatoes
Watermelon
Water
When I'm hungry and unsatisfied I make a huuuuuuge salad with lots of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, shallots, a little low fat feta cheese, 1/2 an avocado, some walnuts or sunflower seeds, and lemon or lime juice for dressing. It's really filling and tasty and I can eat it at any time of the day
ReplyDeleteOhhh and if I want something sweet I eat 125g of strawberries with a passionfruit or if not strawberry season I will substitute frozen raspberries. Sooo yummy and really low in fructose apparently
