March Madness is more than basketball

I have so much to blog, probably more than when I was at fat camp, but... my internet has been down for almost a week.  So, I have to tell you about:
 - the 4k
 - the ou- of-shapeness of the 4k
 - how Fab Feb panned out

BUT... I need everyone to quickly jump on the March Madness bandwagon.  Starting tomorrow, I want to put my blog followers onto two teams to get fit for March.  Basically, now many kms can you run in March?  This will help me train for my next 5k.

I have two team ideas:
1 - boys vs girls
2 - USA vs AUS vs the rest of the world

I have to figure out how to track this on the blog but start documenting your kms on 1 March!!!

I have found something I am really enjoying - Express Zumba.
I am not sure why they call it zumba, it really is just aerobics to latin music instead of 80s music.It is a 30 minute zumba class during the week.

30 minutes is enough time to work up a bit of a sweat, you can have a shower and still get back to work.

We are finally over scalegate and now we have (dun dun da)  Tape-Measure-Gate  (TMG for short)

I did my measurements yesterday and I was the exact same as my last October measure.  NO WAY!  I am down two sizes and 40 pounds/18kg.  There is no way I am the same.

Do I know how to use a tape measure?
It was a different tape measure than last time.
Could the numbering be inaccurate?

TMG is on.
I'll measure again in four weeks.

"Sounds like a sexy hamburger!"

YEA!  I lost again this week and am feeling really energized.  (It is a vicious circle, isn't it?  You are in a slump so you feel like eating and not working out. or... you are energized so you want to eat well and exercise.)  But I do feel like I am in a good in-between right now.

I am going to the gym.
I am going out with friends.

I lost 2.64lbs/1.2kg this week!  YEA!
Totals are:
40.7lbs
18.5kg

I am about 1.2lbs/.7kg better than my goal.  (keeping to the 1lb/.45kg goal per week)

I really want to measure myself but I can't find the tape measure.

"We have a lot in common. We both like soup."

If I've said it once, I've said it...a lot.  Weight loss is a mental game.  All of this stuff is so in-your-head.

This whole week I have had a huge block - I simply didn't want to do the 9-3-9 on my c25k program.  On Wednesday, I did 9-3-5 but just mentally could not do the last 4 minutes.  Friday I was suppose to try again, but couldn't even start the program.  I felt crap so I just walked.  I was so mad at myself, I decided I was going to skip 9-3-9 and go straight to 20 minutes straight.

So that is what I did.

I got on the treadmill this morning and just ran the 20 minutes.

I knew I could do it but was just blocked mentally.

One week until the race.

BL Camp really helped me today and I am grateful.  It is very difficult when you get to Utah and spend all the money for the camp, and getting there, and taking the time off and then you hurt yourself.  And, when you are doing that much intense training, it is really difficult to get through a week without something pulled, sore throbbing or pained.  So, they do teach you how to work through it.

My toe was still painful this morning but it is FFF!  (you know what that first f is for but I am not swearing)

I got up and went to the gym and worked on the weights for my hour.  I still did my gym time but worked around my injury.  Tomorrow I will walk as much as I can in hopes I can do my run on Wednesday and get back on the c25k.  I also have my two hours of dance tomorrow so it will be a busy one.

I am also inspired today because I was just watching BL Singles in Australia and a girl who weights about 300 pounds/150kg was running at 8.5km on the treadmill.  grrrrrrrrr...  I need to kick it up.

"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."

Slight setback but am not going to let it stop me.  Yesterday we had some rain in Melbourne and as I was walking through a parking lot, slid right across a weight metal grate and fell.  Nothing serious at all except a deep gouge in my toe - not a big deal.  Except, it is where I push off when I walk, jog or do the elliptical.

I did nothing today trying to let it scab over.
Tomorrow I will go to the gym and do weights.
Hopefully, by Tuesday there will be a slight scab and I can push through.

Only two weeks until the 4k!
